Saying Farewell...

After 5 years at my beloved alma mater, I have to share the bittersweet news that I will be transitioning out of my role as the school nurse at George Washington High School at the end of this school year. It has been an absolute joy to serve this community, provide holistic nursing services and look out for the emotional, physiological, and mental well being of such a vibrant, diverse, and engaging student body.

My next role will be as full time nursing faculty for a local college of nursing where I will be excited to teach courses in community health, the nursing process, and nursing of families and cultures. This last course is especially meaningful to me as a transcultural nurse certified to deliver culturally responsive care to diverse communities. It is indeed my passion to help prepare the next generation of nurses to provide culturally appropriate care as global citizens of a changing world.

I will miss all of my students, families, and colleagues dearly. All the best.
